Doing the Happy Dance as I enumerate my list of Thankfuls this week:
It is Spring Break.
It is spring.
We are on break.
I am counting this as three because I have really, really needed Spring Break!
Friday was an inservice day. Three of the teachers and I were able to slip away for lunch. Teachers never get to go out with work friends for lunch. It was a great reminder how much I like the people I work with which is something that makes even the hard days more bearable.
My son, The Diplomat, will be home from a year studying abroad in 81 days. 2 and one-half months. Less than a quarter of a year. Relatively soon!
My daughter, The Dentist, is spending the week in Jamaica providing free dental care to those in need.
She is coming for a visit home for Easter.
My daughter, Le Professeur, will be home in 13 days to spend a long weekend.
The Engineer is building a raised bed for a veggie garden this summer.
One of the teachers at school had a sweet baby boy this week. Tonight I got to hold him, and let him wrap his little finger around mine. It is really difficult to hold a newborn baby and not be overcome with a strong wave of thankful.
