2016 has drawn to a close. Thank you, Jesus. What a bummer of a year...a real stinker. Still, a part of me fears what comes next will have me longing for the good ol' days of 2016 before long (heavy sigh). In a nod to Scarlett O'Hara, I am not going to think about that today. I will worry about that tomorrow. Today I turn my attention to things I have been very grateful for in 2016.
Loved ones. Funny, dear, brilliant people I love.
Better health at year's end than beginning.
A warm, cozy home.
The chance to travel.
Work that has meaning.
The bunnies: Opal, Fred and Cookie.
Welcome 2017. I will be keeping my eye on you.
I think many people are curious to see how 2017 will go.ReplyDelete
Curious and wary!Delete
I certainly like this way of saying goodbye to 2016 and looking forward to 2017.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Val. My normal optimism has been unreliable of late!Delete
Let's get this thing started! It's taken me a week to get organized and I'm still not quite there! :DReplyDelete
Are you graviteering with us???
I fully intend to. Truth---my bathroom scale is very ghastly having been in use since my husband's grandmother bought it decades ago! My first thought aka excuse was that it is not photogenic! But it might just become my trademark!Delete
You are blessed indeed for being able to count those things among the reasons to be thankful in your life! I suspect that 2017 will be about as good as we intend to make it, despite the ups and downs that will surely come. Seems that none of us were terribly sad to see the old year ending.ReplyDelete
Life has been good to me for sure! I will be hanging on with both hands through 2017.Delete
I tend to agree... a little boredom in the world would not be the worse thing, right?ReplyDelete
Amen to that, brother!Delete
I'm totally with you...not going to think about 2017. Just take it day by day :D
May 2017 bring you all those 2016 thankfuls and many more.
In the end the 2016 thankfuls were nothing to sneeze at!Delete
